I agree with Stacey's experience. We were in the gallery for maybe 3 minutes before we were told that it isn't a museum and that we need to leave if we aren't buying anything. I'm not sure if they don't understand that Lahaina is a tourist town but this certainly isn't expected behavior when there are hundreds of people going by every day to have a look at the beautiful art.
It's been a year since Stacey's review and it appears nothing has been learned.
My family and I walked into this gallery and were told that if we didn't have are wallets out we could leave and that this isn't a museum! Terrible gallery! We visited several other galleries near this one and they were extremely friendly. I would give this place a minus 10 if I could!
We wandered in tonight and were welcomed warmly by Sid and a featured artist, Rascal, who happened to be there. We spent about half an hour admiring all the beautiful works of art, neither of us being well versed on the topic. Sid was friendly, knowledgeable, and charming. It was my favourite gallery that we visited in town. Thank you, Sid. We both appreciate that you took the time to speak with us.
