Great experience here. International class artists and art sales with a local flair.
Poor and unhelpful service. Was interested in a glass piece. Asked the man behind the counter if he worked there and how much. He didn't say anything but just stared. A snobby woman walked up to me and said that he was the owner and that she could help me. Told her the piece I was interested in. She held on to the piece like it was going to break at any minute. Next day I went over to another shop (Martin and MacArthur) and bought a nicer looking one by the same artist from some very nice and non-pretentious people. Amazing that I can go into a Rolex or Panerai boutique and the manager will offer to take my family and me out to lunch even if I'm dressed in shorts and a tee but these folks act as if you have to kiss the ring to get any kind of decent service.
We paid in full for art in June that as of November is still not here. One excuse after another. We don't recommend shopping here and we will never even go in that store again. Horrible experience.
Had my camera out while exploring the town, and as I was observing the works and taking a few pictures a pretentious old woman came up to me and backhandedly told me I couldn't afford the paintings and to stop taking pictures. Despicable attitudes and no true appreciation for the work they're doing. I wish there was a 0 star rating. The art was gorgeous but the people were terrible, don't give them your time, and definitely don't give them your money. Go explore the other galleries, there are some fine works out there with much better people behind them.
Pathetic! These people don't care about art or artists, they care about making a paycheck. They blatantly ignored me as if I were scum of the earth, then when I asked a question I got a rehearsed speech and a backhanded comment about how I couldn't afford it. Hahaha! You people are working on commission, you are no better than anyone else on the street, rich or poor. Your bad attitudes and rudeness is why your gallery is EMPTY! No one wants to be treated like dirt based on some sales person's judgements. This place knows nothing of Hawaii and Hawaiian culture, nor do they care about the locals. All they see you as is $$$$$$$
