Best shaved ice I have ever had in my life. I don't think I will go to any other place in Maui now that I have tried this. Just go here and you won't regret it. We went back for seconds.
Very friendly and helpful staff, it was my first time getting "Hawaiian" shaved ice and they had great recommendations. I tried the coconut/mango/passion fruit and it was sooo fruit and delicious, the sauce is not overly sweet and tasted very fresh. They are also very generous with the syrup and makes sure it gets to the bottom, and they even suggest you go back for more if it's not enough. Highly recommended!
The staff were super friendly. I couldn’t decide what I wanted and when I decided the staff had a feeling I might not like it so offered me a test taste first. They were right. And they suggested another flavor that turned out to be delicious. I have to say though that it is more of a snow cone than shaved ice. But regardless it was yummy.
The snow is smoother than the snow we get back at home (Calgary).
Sooooo good! Best true flavors. Not too sweet. Try it with a snow cap (condensed milk on top) and a dusting of the pink sweet and salty powder (I forget the name of it but it's on the counter). My kids liked it with ice cream on the bottom. Our favorite flavor was passion fruit.
I came out to Maui for a week and ended up visiting Ululani's three times during my stay (twice at the Lahaina Front Street location). The shaved ice is absolutely delicious. I tried three different flavor combinations and all were good. I'd highly recommend any of the tropical flavors, especially the coconut which seems to have a more milky syrup instead of the watery artificial flavor I'm used to back home. I'd also highly recommend getting it with a scoop of ice cream. Again, the flavors are exceptional and make for a great combination. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The Lahaina location is set slightly off the main drag in a sort of alley so it can be easy to miss but is definitely worth taking a few extra minutes to find.
