At this point I said we would go somewhere else and he let me know TWICE that we wouldn't find another place that he was the only place.
Not sure why but went back on our last day there to rent 2 sets for 9 holes with the intention of returning same day. Same rude gentleman working again.
Immediately the conversation turned to don't worry about it. Apparently something was found on the paperwork that was overlooked.
The have great clubs but Lousy People Skills.
Whoever this gentleman was ... Customer Service is By No Means His Strong Suit.
This was my second time renting golf clubs from this location. Staff has always been great and helpful. They have a premium club selection and you can pick out what brand you prefer. Also pick your putter and they have scottie cameron, titleist, Taylor made... etc. I will keep coming back!
We headed to the Maui Municipal rented 2 sets of clubs played 9 holes and returned with a Lot of time to spare.
They really do have it all for you here in terms of what you could need to golf in the Lahaina area. Including rental golf clubs.
He stated we would have to wait and return the following day. I told him that we were leaving late that night and could not do so. I asked what time they would close and we had plenty of time.
Accused of missing club once they were counted. I asked if possibly a club was not needed and left out on purpose. Told No. After more statements that it was positively missing, I checked with person who used the set. He positively stated it wasn't in the bag and the gentleman who checked us out knew it and documented it.
Gentleman who checked us out was Exceptional. Gentleman who checked us in Was Not.
Jimmy's had a much better set of left handed rental clubs than the local course offered, and let me choose my preferred style of putter, at a good price. Plus the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They're a great option for helping you schedule golf at a course you may not have heard of before.
Haven't even made it to Maui yet. But, called after hours to inquire, had a text before I even hung up. Great service. Nice to know I don't have to pack my sticks all the way over there.
