The only bad part of our trip had nothing to do with Napili Point, but rather our traveling experience to get there. We had a connecting flight out of Los Angeles the day of the LAX shooting! Needless to say, a long trip from Illinois was made several hours longer by LAX closing for a few hours.
Just didn't feel right. Turtles are in bay beside hotel, pretty rocky entrance to snorkel and you have to time how you get out so you don't scrape against the rocks. I checked out and moved as soon as I could. They were gracious about letting me check out early. Weird flies in the room everywhere.
--the cove entry and exit look scary, but are easy to get used to for reasonably strong swimmers
I have some of my most fond memories at Napili Point. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rod and Keith especially are just such wonderful people and really help to make the stays great.
--10 minute walk to white sand beach
--oceanfront deluxe, views of ocean more than cove.
My preference of these is oceanfront.
--good local fish at the market
--free parking
--two ok sized, but basic pools
--there's an alternative cove entry/exit that is much easier
Amazing location right on a bay with loads of sea turtles. The rooms and service were good, nothing special. The views from the rooms are absolutely amazing!
Near the end of our stay, a shift in the weather caused waves so big that surfers came from all over to ride them. We were able to sit on the bank right outside our room and watch them. (I would assume this is not something any visitors should count on seeing at this particular location, but we enjoyed it!)

My favorite condo is at the southernmost end on the street level. 44B i believe it was. I was pretty much raised here and on the grass field patio thing they have, you can go out there and view one of the most gorgeous sunsets.
--situated on cove, with great snorkeling
--oceanfront, closer to the cove access with somewhat better views
Summary:
We loved Napili Point when we visited in November 2013. We went on a snorkeling excursion and got a chuckle when fellow snorkelers were disappointed when they thought they would see sea turtles and didn't. By the latter part of the week, my brother-in-law commented that the turtles in Napili Bay, right outside our condo, were "getting to be a nuisance."

--yes, it's a bit of a walk to the white sand beach, but even with kids it's fun. The best part of the beach is at the far end, by the Napili Kai property.

Lastly, if they still throw the Mai Tai parties, it is worth stopping by.
