Great views but you get that all over Maui without having to pay 280 to play. My other 4 rounds cost me less than here.
We were trying to hike to a trail that we read online crosses the golf course. It was poorly marked and we ended up in the golf course for about 30 minutes. We stopped by the club house to ask for help. A couple of people made an effort to help us and sent us one way. We followed his directions. We were then chased down in a golf cart by an employee named Kevin and told we had to get off of the property very rudely. He told us we were dressed inappropriately. I had a sports top on as we were hiking. No cleavage showing, nothing. We then asked if he could show us the way out because his directions were confusing. We asked if he would mind giving us a ride in his cart because he wasn't really able to explain how to get out. He said no. We told him we understood but he didn't need to be so unkind about kicking us off. We were merely lost. He said that wasn't his problem and that we needed to get off the course. Wow. I just really felt scrutinized and was surprised and disappointed with the snobbery.
I have played both the Bay Course and the Plantation Course, each time in the afternoon. I will be honest, the Plantation Course is beautiful but it can beat you up over and over again. The Bay Course is my all time favorite course I have ever played. The 4th and 5th holes are just gorgeous and fun to play. When I stay in Maui I will for sure always play the Bay Course.
Place is overrated and overpriced. save your money and play elsewhere. Some people who work there a little stuck up and snotty.
My very first time to be in a golf course, and kapalua golf course is so beautiful! The scenery is so beautiful! Although I didn't play because I didn't know how to play but I was able to enjoy the scenery plus I enjoyed being the caddie girl. Staffs are so friendly too! Thank you so much for hospitality, luv it all!
Top Notch! Not only are the courses remarkable, so are the golf professionals at the Kapalua Golf Academy. I signed up for an all-day Speed Driver Lesson and it was well worth every penny. In addition to excellent coaching and instruction the class came with a brand new Nike Speed Driver! The professionals at Kapalua Golf Academy are of the highest caliber and I would highly recommend one of their 1-on-1 lessons to anyone trying to lower their score and improve their golf game.
