They have different types of materials being used to make the ornaments. Wood, ceramic, and yes, plastic.
When we arrived back in the mainland, we ordered a dozen more ornaments online as Christmas gifts. They arrived packed and all of them turned out great!

All it is is a small hole in the wall plastic ornament store. You can get the same things for cheaper at a mall. Don't waste your time.
We purchased a personalized a large Christmas ornament, it took about 15 minutes for the staff to write our names on it. It turned out awesome. Also, you can choose which miniature holiday ornament to have your name written in it before it's placed on the main ornament.
