Just another average shore front barefoot bar with the usual tourist experience (and tourist price premium) with an unusually elitist crowd. Nothing spectacular
We shared a very yummy Kalua Pork & Pineapple w/BBQ sauce on Flatbread for $15. Fun sitting on the sand!
Waiter was probably the nicest waiter we have ever had! He made sure we were well taken care of and the service was quick. Atmosphere was amazing since we were outside on the beach. Looked at menu and the prices were a bit high though. The fish I ordered was a little smaller than I expected and nothing that blew me away, but it was still really tasty. Wish the portions were a bit bigger, but it was decent food! Can’t beat the atmosphere either.
I'm not usually one to review but this was hands down the worst dining experience of my Hawaii trip so deserves a mention. I booked dinner for my husband's birthday and mentioned this when I called (also that it was our honeymoon) and asked if they could sit us somewhere near the water. We arrived on time but had to wait 20 mins for a seat, which was in the back corner. When my husband went to the bathroom I asked the server if they could write happy birthday on his dessert and was told they'd bring out a special dessert instead. We ended up not being offered a dessert menu, being given the bill before we'd even finished our drinks and the server blanked us so I couldn't ask him for the dessert menu or promised special dessert. When we got home we found out the leftover chicken wasn't fully cooked either (didn't notice in the restaurant because it was dark). The whole experience ruined the end of what was a great birthday celebration.
Good experience, great ambience, live music was very nice, not too loud and our food was fresh and delicious. We were there at 1:00 in the afternoon, the Barefoot Bar was very busy but we were seated without wait. The server was a bit offish but did her job well. I would go again and order a full meal for a more complete review.
This place had an awesome atmosphere, live music great seating. Easy to make reservations. Ah the sand dinning tho.. that's was sweet. Ashley was the best... Personality that lit up the room, beautiful smile had some great laughs, validated parking and military discount food was great defiantly recommend ...
