My husband and I were in Hawaii for our 26th anniversary September 2016, and stopped into this store. Right away a ring caught my eye. I was so mesmerized by the mirror finish on the wide gold band that I didn't turn it to closely examine the entire surface because if I had, I would have noticed that the manufacturer had damaged the smooth mirror finish with his stamp underneath. After we returned home (I hadn't worn the ring yet) I noticed that there is a divot/dent right on top, but if you don't hold it just right, you don't see it. Unfortunately, once you see it and know it's there - that's ALL you see and it catches your eye every time you look at the ring or move your finger! I emailed the store and nobody bothered to respond. I emailed again threatening to write a bad review and poof... the manager e-mailed me back. Meanwhile, I had a local jeweler with 40 years experience in my state look at the ring and he informed me that nothing could be done to correct it, but Baron & Leeds insisted that I fed ex it to their jeweler in California (keep in mind I still haven't worn it). Their jeweler lied and said they fixed it, but they didn't. They sent it back to me without saying a word about them not fixing it, and the store actually said that they were able to fix it. I emailed again because it hadn't been fixed, and again no response - and I still hadn't worn it just in case they would finally agree to replace it so they could see I hadn't worn it and I didn't cause the damage. I also still didn't have the appraisal that they promised when I originally purchased it, so after emailing them again the week of January 23rd, they finally responded and said they'd follow up again - and I just got the appraisal today January 27th (although they again ignored my email informing them that their jeweler didn't fix the ring at all - I just can't believe they would send it back saying it was fixed when it wasn't. I asked several times for them to have their jeweler make another one and not stamp the dome portion this time, but they ignored this request). This is such poor service after spending $3100! I finally decided that I may as well wear the ring January 23rd 2017 because I realized that they weren't going to do anything about this situation and I spent so much money on it and it's just been sitting in my safe! I would recommend going to a Reputable jeweler who produces quality items and stand behind their products - this company and their Jeweler obviously do not. If you do decide to waste your money buying anything at Baron & Leeds, you should know that they originally were trying to sell the ring for $5400 and we got it for $3100, so there's a lot of room in their profit!
