If you go left once you get to the nesting grounds the trail will take you to a cove that overlooks the Kapalua Cliff House. Here you can jump off the rocks weather/tide permitting.
We were looking for the Dragon Teeth Trail, but ended up on the Kapalua Coastal Trail, that runs along the water. Parking was available and we took beach access steps down from the parking area to the trail. The trail starts off very easy on a board walk, but later changes to a dirt trail, then heads over lava rocks. The ocean views are beautiful, and while the trail seems well used it was not over crowded on the weekday morning we leisurely strolled down the trail.
Nice scenic walk. Whoever said this was good for strollers didn't go very far on the trail. Did the trail from beginning to end and it was placed 20%, the rest of Rocky and dusty but worth going on with a good pair of shoes. If you want to get to the dragon's Teeth you might miss it because it is behind a white house off a golf course and you won't know how to find the entry point. If you get to the beach, you've gone 15 minutes to far.
Awesome trail with great views. Not a very long trail that starts at Kapalua beach. It’s less than 2 miles one way. There is a nesting area for about half of it (watch out for bird poop). No restrooms along the way. There are some steep narrow park but our smaller children made it through them fine.
This trail goes a fair way. Take your snorkeling gear as there are a number of great spots with lots of fish and the occasional turtle. Nesting area as well as an ancient burial group.
Best place for snorkeling. Water is crystal clear you’ll see turtle but not allowed to touch. Different kinds of fish
