Thank you so much Old Lahaina Luau for teaching our 1 1/2 year old daughter "Presley" the hula dance!! You definitely made a lasting impression on her. She breaks out into the dance in public places all the time now. We are all just loving it and the memories back here on the main land! (Of course the food, the service and the show was best of the best.)
Great atmosphere ...show was good..wait staff was great..view was amazing !! And it's all you can drink and eat!! Leave early so you have extra time for travel to get there. A lot of traffic!! Parking is available but limited! Food is traditional Hawaiian fare. There are activities for the kids like learning hula. Bring extra money for the local vendors and their fare and pictures at sunset! Bathrooms are clean and handicap accessible and you don’t have to walk a mile to get to it! Great atmosphere and the cultural experience is fantastic!! Go!
Pretty expensive ($120 a person) but included the entertainment and unlimited food/drinks. The buffet had a good selection and was pretty good quality. The featured drinks were really sugary but you could also get a vodka soda or other regular mixed drinks. The show told the story of Hawaii and was really cool to watch.
My wife booked this Luau and I was hesitant. I generally feel like going to a luau is like exploiting a local cultures past for financial gain. All I can say is that the waiting staff, chef, performers were SO stellar that it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had while on a trip. My perception was that they were all so professional and talented from the dancing to the food on the table that they take it seriously and genuinely want to help someone like myself enjoy being immersed in their history and culture.
Love it!! 2nd time there. First time was my husband and I. Took him for our anniversary a few years back. The guys did a fire show the first time we went, but the show was nice and colorful. The food and drinks were good also. We all had a wonderful time and the weather could not have been better!!
