Go to leave, and all exits blocked except one. Over 1000 cars waiting while attendants demand another 6 bucks from each car to leave lot. Took 40 minutes to leave to accommodate ProPark's extortion. We refused to pay, and I called the attendant a thief. He let us out, and said "it's just business". I call it criminal.
We parked in the Lahaina Center yesterday (July 15, 2009) and had our parking stub validated for 2.5 hours by a merchant. We drove to the exit 5 minutes before our time was to expire, and were told by the attendant that we owed $ since we were leaving late. We questioned this and I requested a receipt to see what time the computer said we were leaving. The time on the receipt showed that the exit computer was 5-6 minutes fast (according to both of our cell phones and watches)! We went back to the entrance and asked someone coming in what time was on their entrance stub--this time it was 1-2 minutes SLOW. So both inaccuracies are in the direction to benefit Propark. I don't know if this is intentional, but if you are parking in this lot, don't cut your time close or you may end up paying more than you anticipated!
Parked here July 4 th for dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Sign said 10 bucks to park for event. No problem.
