There are many better companies to use in Maui, and I would greatly discourage anyone from using this awful company.
I'm a fan of giving any business a try, even if the reviews are not stellar.
Where to start....
2) SMOKING. Literally both captain and his deck hand were constant chimneys. There was no regard to the comfort of the costumer
Captain Jonny was very friendly we got a couple of fish and as any fisherman knows you are fishing not catching I was totally happy with 2 fish but I would have also been happy with none. The opportunity is half the fun and meeting new people and seeing the beautiful water. Good price also can't wait for next time!
3) LOW FISH YIELD. I get the sentiment of, "you go fishing, not catching." However, when other companies are coming back with multiple catches and this company has three boats that caught only two fish, there is likely a bigger issue than, " oh, the fish ain't biting."
If I could give them less than one star I would. The ABSOLUTE WORST fishing charter imaginable. It is a boat ride along the coast line of Lanai, in shallow waters. The other reviewers are correct, they are a scam. I am not upset that we didn't catch anything. I am upset that the lines and lures were only about 10 feet away from the aft part of the boat, in the middle of the wake. We have done a considerable amount of fishing, and the lures are NEVER that close and in the middle of the wake. No long lines cast at all. So my gripe is that they never even tried. I think the deck hand was too lazy to reel in the longer lines, and they also picked the lines back out of the water when we were still a half an hour away from the harbor. There are some fish that can hit a lure at high speeds. Oh, wait, it would have to actually be in the water and away from the boat's motors.... Seriously, RUN DON'T WALK to someone else. There are plenty of other reputable boats at the dock in Lahaina. Spend your money with someone that will actually try to help you catch fish. We weren't surprised that they were the only boat in the harbor without flags flying... At least those of us who were scammed by them can rely on KARMA.
0 or the 1 to 5 scale. The issue was- they kept fish (even the largest fish). They noted that it would be for bait. Left us feeling like we had paid for something and did not receive it. They even choose out little girl to fish and when she caught the biggest fish - they kept it. YES - OUR LITTLE GIRL! Ruined the trip - stay away at all costs!
Had the pleasure of going sport fishing, with my wife and my brother, on the ""Action". Captain John and deckhand Johnny went above and beyond. We caught a dozen Mahi Mahi, two Ono, a Yellow Fin Tuna and got fight with two sharks. Great day made better because I spent it with my wife and brother. I would use them again and will definitely recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you John and Johnny, everything I wanted and more.
This company has many flaws. While it is cheap in comparison to other companies, the value is certainly below par, when compared to other fishing companies I've used. I'll list the major issues i had with this company
1) STEALING. When coming out of the bathroom at the end of the trip, the deck hand was looking around to see if anyone was looking, then opened our cooler and took some of our beer.
