We did whale watching around afternoon on a sunny day during December holidays. The boat ride was pretty comfortable, the staff were friendly and the tour guide gave away a lot of information on where whales can be found and their habits. We saw a lot of humpback whales all around where we went and there was so much activity in the sea - tail slapping, lob tailing, whale breaching and flipping. We could purchase some snack, water, soda and drinks in the boat. There was seating with a canopy as well as on the deck on two levels. We had great views of the oceans and whales.
We took a boat for whale watching late November 2017 which is considered out of season (mid December to April) the crew and captain were very informative very nice. We end up seeing whale tales and some dolphins... Highly recommend specially in season... We got our tickets free... By signing up for a marketing tour for two hours (where a sale person try to convince you to choose their resort or hotel for the next vacation)
Jill, Brad and Dave all made sure we enjoyed everything the beautiful day had to offer. Hitting Molokini early we got to circumnavigate the crater. They all were helpful and answered all our questions. Fish were beautiful and plentiful. Many colorful species. Swam near Seaturtles. Great memorable day.
Captain Jill and her crew were awesome. Snorkeling in Lania was great and so was reef south of Lania. Actually saw a whale and several turtles. Food was great. One of the best excursions that I have ever been on.
Had a great time with the Hawaii Ocean Project. Took us to two amazing snorkeling spots by Lanai island and we also saw a couple whales! Captain and crew were fun, knowledgeable, and professional.
