Mahina surf has been a great place to have our honeymoon. The room was clean and well furnished. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, but the best part was the view. There is nothing like waking up and watching sea turtle s climb on the rocks.
Terrible stay. We stayed at Unit#125, and it was filled with roaches and bugs, the BED BUGS. Red stains you see in the pictures is our blood. There is absolutely no way to contact the management or staff in the property on post 4.30PM on weekend and entire weekend (Saturday and Sunday), so you are just stuck if you are having a problem. I do not recommend anyone staying here.
Small beach (Pohaku Park) with showers 5 minutes to walk, snorkling to watch turtles, surfing
No AC but fans and direct wind from the ocean
Amazing location right next to the ocean with a great view. The rooms are very nice, but the upstairs beds aren't great.
My feet were black from the grey shag carpet in the bedroom....yuk
Beautiful authentic place (exists since the early 70s?) with fantastic oceanview, clean, very friendly staff that like to help wherever possible!
Walls are so thin you can't get peace and quiet with unruly children around the pool area and in the upstairs units you hear every foot step from below. Family reunions take over the spaces, those coming here for a long time get preference over the needs of the individual guest. You can tell it's from the seventies, old and faded interiors and broken down ugly reject furniture.
