The atmosphere and view are enough to award this place a 4 star review. I went for lunch and the menu is very basic but the food was well executed. Drinks are pricey even for the area but the selection is decent. I would return...but not for lunch.
This place was recommended so I booked it for New Years Eve and our anniversary. The atmosphere was great and service was as well. However we were not informed that there would be a special New Year’s Eve menu where you would RAPE us on the prices. $110 for a fish plate (even with appetizer and desert) is BS. Normal menus price for the same plate was $38. More in line. Food was so so. Nothing great. Walked away With a real negative experience. Most likely would not return.
Our meal was excellent -- we intentionally chose to go at lunch to save over $20 on EACH ENTREE! My vegetarian entree was fresh and interesting, but not worth the dinner price tag of over $30. The ginger fish (mahi mahi) was cooked perfectly. The setting, right on the water, is lovely.
I went to Pacific'O for a wedding rehearsal dinner with a group of around 20 people. I was impressed with the staff's attentiveness and willingness to accommodate my allergies (gluten, soy, dairy). They easily modified the salad and main course AND brought me a coconut milk ice cream for dessert! I would highly recommend for anyone as the food was amazing but especially those who have any dietary restrictions.
Chef prepared the fish we caught fresh that day. He went above and beyond with an AMAZING presentation. Best meal I've ever had!! Chef, hostess, bartender, manager and all the staff were wonderful. Setting is truly paradise. We plan to go back every year while vacationing in Maui.
