Stuck in a time warp circa mid 90s, this restaurant offers decent but inelegant food and drink at insulting prices. The setting is nothing to write home about either. As there are so many more interesting choices these days in west Maui, best to give this one a miss. I suspect that it will continue to be a favorite of the mainland resort crowd for years and years to come. Why though?
This is the second Roy's ever opened. Very nice atmosphere. The food and beverage lunch selection was good. The service was great as well as the presentation and taste of the food we ordered. We love this place!
When I come to Maui, Roy’s is always on my list of restaurants to enjoy. The food is delicious and there a nice variety, so everyone can find something they love to eat. The kitchen is very good about honoring requests to accommodate the needs of people in our group. Our service was excellent tonight, attentive and helpful without being obtrusive. My only negative comment is that it is noisy and sometimes difficult to converse. The molten chocolate dessert is superb so be sure to save some space for that when ordering your meal. There’s plenty of parking and you can drop members of your group at the door so easy access for everyone regardless of walking abilities.
This will not be your cheapest meal of your vacation but it could well be your best. Service was great the manager was attentive and the food was exceptional... don't miss the lava cake. They had a gluten-free menu which impressed us. Two of the things on there they had to special-order because they forgot that they left them on the menu.. so they need to up their game but at least they're trying which is more than most restaurants can to say.
Roy's had a fantastic ambiance. The waitress and staff were personable and anticipated our needs. The chef's lunch special was a three course meal for $30. Drinks, superb.
