And it tasted very good.

A solid place to have dinner - the shrimp was quite good and the wedge salad was nicely done. The service was quite good. The menu has a good variety of offerings but not a lot of anything in particular. They could do to be a bit more upscale, as the setting is pretty informal.
Over priced! Better food at front street and whalers village at half the price.
I have nearly 200 contributions to Google reviews/maps, and 90%+ of the time give five stars. Black Rock is not one of those five star ratings. The food was overpriced. The food was not good. The appetizer was a crab cake that was poor quality and was in a bed of the same tartar sauce you would find at a McDonald's. The steak and blue catch of the day (fish) were both overcooked (despite ordering a medium-rate steak). Our server was friendly, which is why there's at least two stars in my review. I eat out at restaurants -- A LOT. This is the same price as Merriman's, but way worse. I will not be returning.
Beautiful views from the dining room but they chose to seat us all by ourselves in a corner with no views.
Next time back to Maui we’ll skip the Sheraton for breakfast altogether.
Prices are expensive
We are breakfast here and we were disappointed with the buffet. Expensive for the selections and parts of the room were dirty and unappealing.
