I would rate this as a 2. Mainly because the balconies were closed off (without knowing until you get there) and if you get there after 7pm then you’ll have to wait for security which will take 45 mins to get there from another resort that they actually protect and not this one! The rooms are outdated and you can’t hardly roll down the blinds. Their best room looks like a scene from the movie “vacancy.” Watch out for the bathroom. It opens up in the attic!! Just saying!! The trash truck is VERY loud in the mornings, the outside door handles don’t work in several rooms( we tried them along with their top notch security staff) I literally put our luggage in front of bathroom and hall wall door in case someone decided to enter, I am not joking!!

Location is ideal however

Class at it's best. Beach acess, all the amenities close by, comfee and clean. We will return very soon.

Beautiful old boutique hotel. Most if the buliding and furniture is original. Front desk staff we're easy to talk to and eager to help us with recommendations. Pricing is excellent. Great location (right downtown). Best AC in Maui. Will return!

Had dinner at Lahaina grill and it was amazing! World class restaurant easy

The location is excellent, however that was the only positive experience at this hotel. On out first day, we came home from the beach to find 1/3 of the cash we had brought and some of our belongings missing. Only after making the report to head of security were we told that when we checked in, the staff forgot to inform us that there is a safe behind the door and forgot to give us the physical key for said safe. On our last day, the hotel was changing out locks on every hotel room, leading us to believe that theft and security are common issues. As for the room itself, it was relatively dirty (we could not use the drawers or wardrobe as they were covered in dirt and dust) and the housekeeper neglected to give fresh sheets/towels when requested and only seldom took out the garbage from our room. The bed was absolutely atrocious. Felt as if it was breaking if you moved in the slightest and would creak constantly throughout the night. We also had no access to the balcony. Mornings are very noisy as garbage trucks and delivery trucks make their way through town, so be prepared to be up at 5:30 every day. We booked through expedia and I attempted to write a review on there as well, but they would not post this review as it was deemed "too negative." Again, the location was excellent, but we will not be staying here again.
