Best place to stay on Maui Mahana 505. All units are ocean front. From any room you can watch surfers, whales, canoes etc... You are truly ocean front. Units are individually owned so some are nicely updated while others are not. Some offer snorkeling gear, ice chest, beach chairs, and tennis equipment while others do not. We love the 505 because it is updated and offers all these amenities to its guests.
Best place to stay in Kaanapali shores! Glad I chose this one over other crowded resorts nearby. beautiful views, tidy resort with great privacy for couples, great location, fully furnished rooms and very helpful staff! We got to see some whales from lanai. Got a complimentary upgrade to wonderful one bedroom premium suite! Will stay here again next time.
Absolutely fantastic location - cannot even describe how lovely it was to enjoy this view. Comfortable suite. Walking distance to a local store plus a few small lunch locations. Great boardwalk connects to other resorts. Beach is a bit iffy - you need to be careful about reef and underwater corals plus surf. Great snorkeling, turtles right by the hotel.
I would live here if I could! Photos do not do it justice. Every room is oceanfront (long, skinny rooms so everyone has a lanai on the ocean) with views of Lanai and Molokai. Located off a reef, so we saw tons of sea turtles, fish, dolphins. Staff was amazing...the higher your room, the better the view. Very quiet, DVD kiosk for free (if you're into that...we preferred playing a game of cards on the lanai while listening to the ocean waves). Rooms were clean, well-furnished, and beautiful.
Perfect if your looking for an amazing view of the ocean. Loved this place because there wasn't tons of people always around. Pool was great, located right next to the BBQ's. If your wanting to do a lot of laying on the beach, this place isn't the place for you as there isn't a beach to swim on, it is full of coral. Probably won't stay here again as it's on the pricey side since we decided to go with the one bedroom condo and we like to stay new places every year. It was an absolute amazing place to stay for our honeymoon! I took off a star because the first night we stayed on the top floor and they were installing solar panels first thing in the am, they were very accommodating and switched us rooms after all the pounding, realistically they shouldn't be renting the top levels out until construction is done. They also have their own security that walks the parking lot at night, he is very friendly and awesome!
