The unit had everything we needed, beach chairs, mask and snorkels, beach towels, grilling gear and lots of glassware, plates, bowls and cutlery. It even had a big straw hat that fit my big head for when we needed a little sun relief.

Literally perfect. Great view. Turtles come up every day. Only thing that I would like would be central A/C

This condo complex was just the ticket for us. We have done most of the bucket list activities on Maui already so we were just looking to wrap ourselves in the sound of the breakers and enjoy the sun and surf. Makani sands delivered!

I never saw anyone use the pool, maybe because it is in the back of the complex and not facing the ocean.

The lady managing the complex, Marie, was extremely helpful and friendly. If you avoid the high rise complexes with their too many people and just want to relax then I highly recommend Makani Sands!

Have been here twice now and enjoyed each stay. Is fairly quiet during the off season, and you almost feel like you're the only one around. The fact that every unit faces the ocean is such a treat. Both units we have stayed in were clean and comfortable. Unit 103 has a raised toilet and grab bars for both toilet and shower, so if you have slight mobility issues it would be a great help. No A/C, but you can get a decent cross breeze by opening the shutters and patio door. Kitchens are well stocked, and beds are comfortable. The pool is a great perk, as it gets the morning and early afternoon sun. Great big seating areas out back, and multiple BBQs for everyone to use.

We used the beat-up community stand up paddle board and boogie boards. We snorkeled and swam with some sea turtles all right in front of our room.

No AC but the fans and ocean breeze kept us cool enough. Sitting on the balcony for breakfast and dinners was fantastic. The beach is a bit narrow but had really nice soft sand. There was enough room to layout but we enjoyed the chaise lounges overlooking the beach.

Quite a nice place to stay. Great condo. WiFi could be better.

Clean, renovated rooms on the top floor and we never heard the neighbors, even though they're fully booked. We saw turtles, whales, and beautiful sunsets from our balcony, which is probably 20 feet from the waves. Great location with plenty to do for our 9 days here. Everything we needed was provided. The only problem is the ocean gets loud at night, which isn't really their fault when we're sleeping with the windows opened.
