Came here with 9 people. We shared 3 rooms at the Kapalua Villas. Two out of the 3 were very nice, but the third had roaches in it and many other issues. Management was able to give is a new room quickly. The shuttle service sucks, and the guys never showed up for the teens we had with us. This was after multiple attempts and phone calls. The Kapalua Villas customer service rep at the office was very rude and was lacking in basic customer service abilities. The rooms are right in the golf course, each with their own great views. I would not recommend coming here if you expect to be treated like a normal human being. You pay a lot to come here, noone should be treated with such disrespect. I would not recommend this place.

Alright let's get down to where they went wrong and why we left the place within an hour of check out. I was on my honeymoon and checked in around 7pm. Was very surprised to find they charge $175 for cleaning fees apart from the room rate and the resort fees they already charge. And that fee is for one bedroom so if you have more be ready to shell out extra money on top. Ok fine.. Paid the fees and went to the room. Was nice and clean and felt cozy. Went to take a shower and within 10 minutes the water started to cool down and within the next 5 it for very cold. After a long day at the beach I couldn't even wash my hair and my husband didn't even get to shower. Called maintenance and the guy told me that I should take 5 minute showers as the water heater in the villa is very small. Wait what???? Some random guy is telling me how long I can take showers for? Called front desk and Melissa was first reluctant to change my room but she eventually did. Didn't get the same two floor villa I had booked but whatever I was hoping for some hot water. Same thing again! This time my husband couldn't shower for more then 5 minutes. Called the front desk and told them I wanted my first room back as the water situation was the same but I was told that they'll charge me another $175 in cleaning fees if I wanted to do that. Extremely upset about the whole situation by now and I was ready to just get out of hotel. Called Chase as I booked through them and after being on the phone for an hour we got the reservation cancelled and booked Sheraton for the next two nights. Long story short if you're okay with 5 minute showers and unhelpful front desk you can stay here.

What can I say but amazing. This isn't a high end place where every little detail is imaculant but it's very comfortable, semi-secluded, quiet, and man what a view. Close by to restaurants and stores. The place is clean and we stayed in the Gold villas which are the newer nicer ones so definitely go with the Gold Villas if you can. The full kitchen is really nice to be able to wake up and leisurely get breakfast/coffee without having to go out. Would highly recommend the place for families and people that are looking for an escape.

We had a beautiful 2 bedroom gold villa with oceanfront. Views from inside the room were breathtaking! There are two golf courses on site, walking trails along the ocean and multiple pools. Minutes away from gorgeous beaches and upscale dining. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to stay on Maui.

Let's start with the pros - beautiful place, good facilities (on paper) and no parking fees.

Beautiful resort. Spectacular golf course with amazing view of the ocean. We loved that the unit has a kitchen and ample space to relax. The community pool is nice but the bbq grill is essential. Fantastic location with amazing snorkeling and boogie boarding nearby. Excellent hiking/walking trails nearby that are paved and a beautiful area to go running along the beach
