Great trail. Think it's about 17 miles, but haven't done that much...maybe next time
Easy parking at DT Fleming beach. Semi shaded and a decent breeze keep you cool on the way up. Some nice views starting around the 2 mile point
good with the family and young ones.
Beautiful and isolated. You may not run in to anyone the entire 17mi there/back. Fantastic views and lots of shade!
Mostly unimproved trail with switchbacks, steep stairs and hills, and some moderately difficult terrain. Traverses through golf course facility that has many commercial and industrial vehicles, that may be seen and heard. Views and woods are worth it if you hike a ways out. There is a 17-mile loop to the Arboretum that offers the only access.
