I suggest you find him, stop in, and devour anything that Chef Joey creates and touches!
Had the stir-fry chicken and loco Moco... Wouldn't recommend it to my enemy... The stir-fry chicken, recommended as one of the best, had no chicken - only veggies. The loco Moco, a popular choice, had the typical white rice with a minimum amount of gravy making the white rice just white.
Who needs the fancy, dressy and formal experience.... because the experience for Joey's Kitchen is in the flavor of his cuisine/food. From his breakfast wraps, to his Huli Huli chicken, and Brussels sprouts... I have to stop I'm starving and can't help but daydream about the outstanding nature of this chef that comes alive in his food!
Take out garlic chicken was so good, crispy outside, chicken-y inside and distinctly garlic without being overpowering. Yum.
If you've ever wanted to have Prestige, Fine Dining, Executive Chef style food/plate lunch without the high cost, dressy, long waits, time consuming atmosphere, THIS IS IT! Chef Joey is renown in Hawai'i and especially in Maui!
