We just had the most phenomenal dinner at the Banyan Tree restaurant in the Ritz Carlton Kapalua. Everything tasted amazing & chef's presentation on each dish is absolutely breath taking. The seared scallops with pork belly & luau leaf puree was amazing!!! The only flaw on one of our dishes was the lobster ramen, it costs $65 dollars and is defined as "Half Lobster Ramen", so I assumed I was getting what I paid for. Instead I got a piece of local fish & a couple smaller sized pieces of lobster.....Our server was so friendly & helpful with menu decisions. The view is quite lovely as well because you can see the rain clouds rolling in over the ocean. The vibe of the restaurant makes you feel at home with the soft music & smaller rooms. I recommend all my friends to go check it out. Their head chef is a local guy doing big things and you can get Kamaaina 20% off!!
Best restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Resort. Great service! The food was amazing along with the view. I recommend the lobster carbonara, it was delicious!
Also, Waiter offered Hawaiian bread while we waited for our food. We accepted but disappointed to see the $8 charge on the bill. He never indicated a price or charge when he offered the bread.
Good food with nice presentation but not commensurate with prices (high) and with Ritz style service (they made and error on the bill with an overcharge on 4 items, which they corrected).
All in all a decent experience but I probably would not return.
Outstandingly experience. Our server Johnny was wonderful. The cocktails were original and very well presented. The appetizer of ahi poki was delicious and original . My fish and husbands spare ribs had very good portions. Our children were very pleased with the kids menu. Excellent sunset atmosphere.
Setting is very nice with beautiful view. Hostess was very friendly. Waiter satisfactory but not great.
Nice view of the bay and ocean. Get there before it gets dark. Good breeze coming into the restaurant from the vents below the windows. Menu was somewhat limited and as might be expected for the Ritz, quite over-priced... $16 drinks are pushing the ridiculous pricing. Service was great, presentation was good but not reflective of the price. The meal was very good but again, nothing spectacular as you'd expect from the Ritz and at these prices.
